As the updated-for-modern-times adage goes, one should never judge a game by its cover art. Well, unless it's one of those covers that have quotes from the press describing it as "the best shooter this year" or "a game we didn't hate completely", in which case the cover indirectly judges the game all on its own. Where am I going with this? Well, IGN has seen fit to assemble a high resolution collection of all the art you can find on those sturdy American DS game cases. No Mega Man NES debacles here - in fact, most of the covers are quite pleasing to the eye, though it has to be said that there's a definite lack of pointless explosions.
1. There's a sticker on the Polarium wrapper that said Nintendo Power named it the best puzzle game since Tetris. Which is probably considered a major selling point, I suppose.
The DS has very few games with bad covers (*COUGH*mobilestrikelightforce2orwhathaveyou*COUGH*). I really want Where Do Babies Come From? and I wish our testicle-deprived North American localization teams hadn't changed its perfect name.
