Also, (on topic!) I cannot see my the screens of my DS in sunshine, but the screen on the GBA Micro is unaffected, provided the brightness setting is the highest. I am assuming, based on comparison pics, that the Lite's screens are the same.

Oh, but it can!

It's a common misconception (even among English teachers) that apostrophes are intended only to show contraction or possession. Apostrophes exist to eliminate grammatical or pronunciation confusion and, like commas, can be used in a variety of situations. They *can* be used to express plurality when the meaning or pronunciation is not otherwise obvious without an apostrophe - i.e. "Nazis" vs. "Nazi's" or "CDs" vs. "CD's".

Whether or not you would use an apostrophe in this situation depends on the style guide you're following. The New York Times style guide, for example, approves of apostrophes for this purpose. (Go do a search on their site for either of those terms I listed above, with apostrophes.) The BBC, on the other hand, does not. The Chicago Manual of Style, which is used for a variety of publications, generally discourages apostrophes for this purpose unless the word would be clearly misunderstood without one. But there's no absolute rule.

Take it from someone who writes for a living. You can use apostrophes for plurals, and I would for a word like "Nazi's". (I also put punctuation outside of quotation marks, if you notice, which is the proper way to do it - despite what they teach in American schools.)

But enough digression. I want a DS Lite!

26. Hey guys... today I got an interesting suggestion from a friend...

he said if I want, I could buy the DS now @ Best Buy with the warantee, then when the DS Lite comes out in the US, I can bring my DS in and say it has battery problem, and with the warranty I can exchange for a DS Lite...

Since I don't have a DS rite now that sounds very tempting... he said it worked for him for the xbox, which is exchanged for a xbox 360...

Is this do-able? n e thoughts?

27. Jon; If they removed the GBA slot altogether, there wouldn't be anymore capability of game recognizing, would there?

Example: Feel the Magic/Project Rub recognizing you have other Sega GBA games in there, or Advance Wars DS giving you new maps if you have AW1 or 2 in the GBA slot at the same time.

29. Wow. The screens are sooo much nicer. And the size and redesign are really slick. I didn't really like the white color until I saw those pics, but I'm starting to come around to it. It will be hard picking a color when I trade up for a DS lite later in year.

30. About the battery life. Supposedly, if you keep it at the lowest setting(meaning old DS bright), it will be a lot more battery life. A setting higher, a little more. Third seeting, a little less, highest(BRIGHT...), way low.
