Animal Crossing Contest: Giant Miyamoto for the win

When I showed this entry to fellow DS Fanboy blogger David Hinkle, he responded with, "That is the winner. That wins SO HARD." My thoughts exactly. Read all about Miyamoto's monstrous rampage through Tokyo in a full page from the Fanboy Times here.

"Next time," Miyamoto said, "I'll have to try and control myself when I transform into a 300 foot tall monster."

Congratulations, Josh Cox! Your prize will embark on its journey to you shortly. As for the rest of you guys, thank you once again for participating. I'll try and get another giveaway going soon.

1. [sighs] Why is Tokyo ALWAYS under attack!?

Ah, well. I think they just have a natural attraction to giant monsters...

Congrats to Josh.

2. Response to 1: I think it has to do with the obsession they have with mass destruction. A psychological effect after the atomic bombs and all. Seriously. If someone hasn't done a study about the obsession with the bomb in Japanese culture, someone should. It's an interesting case of becoming obsessed with something that caused so much death and harm to the point where it mutates into something else besides fear and anger.

3. O.K. so chalk one up for Tokyo. That means that Tokyo and New York are neck and neck for most repeatedly destroyed city in movies, books, fanboy mockups etc. etc.

9. Very cool. Reminded me a lot of something the newspaper/website The Onion would do. Nice job, Josh.
