More Nintendogs bound for Europe?

NoE Watch points out that one of the UK's largest retailers, Game, is now listing a new version of Nintendogs on their website. Nintendogs: Dalmation & Friends is now up for pre-order and presumably has that elusive spotted puppy (favored by Mr. Miyamoto) unlocked right from the start. With Nintendogs being a massive success in Europe and selling over 2 million copies, it makes sense that Nintendo would aim to grab some more cash from the people that simply can't get enough of obscenely cute polygonal puppies.

This does make me wonder--how many of you are still tending to their virtual puppies? I left mine to rot in his cartridge kennel a long time ago.

[Thanks Max!]

1. I know what you mean about letting them rot. I've checked my faves into the Dog Hotel and just have the one I like least at home. That way, any resentment my neglience creates doesn't set me back too much.

I still try to feed her at least once a day. Walks occur less often. And obedience training has been abandoned entirely.

Still, it's a great game to use to show my non-gamer friends. Their reaction is almost universally squeals or coos. Electroplankton and now Brain Age will help me woo the haters in to validate my precious. =^.^=

3. Sold my copy about three weeks after buying it; the game worked well as a tech demo, but so did Project Rub (or XX/XY: Feel the Magic, for those of you without our sensitive English ears), and that didn't wee on your cyber-carpet if you didn't take it for walks every day...

5. I stopped playing about 5 dayx after buying the game. They forgot a major ingredient in nintendogs : making it into a game.

6. The game is still cool. We own two copies. But I should have learned a long time ago that chore-games, like Harvest Moon and Animal Crossing, just aren't for me.

The only sim game I ever liked was SimCity. The first one.

7. Its not that I don't like the game. Its just that I wish there were more to it. Taking care of a virtual puppy is appealing at first, but it can get old fast. Harvest Moon and Animal Crossing had more substance than this. Its great to show off the various gimmicks of the DS, but I also left mine to rot. Inside of a Blockbuster.
