Quite possibly one of those "purple monkey dishwasher" instances, supposedly Sir Miyamoto commented to a journalist of the French variety that a new title would be debuted for the DS at the company's E3 press conference. This mystery title, if the post linked is to be believed, will be very similar to once-hot, now-not franchise Starfox.
Everyone is already going wild on the internet speculating that it is none other than the infamous Starfox 2, a game that was supposedly in finished beta form, yet never released due to the age of the hardware. Sir Shig's comment, which is supposedly this, when translated mentions nothing about this, so believe what you will.

There's something really strange about mario holding a magazine with himself on the cover, underlined by "Deviances Sexuelles".
Of course, StarFox 2 on DS could quite possibly lead to some DSs being subjected to sexually deviant behavior. (As in "I know you love the game, but stop humping your DS please." I'm not sure how else the statement would be misconstrued, but I'm sure it would be)

As long as it's better than Assault. And HAS NO WALKING MISSIONS GODDAMMIT!
Hear that? Also, shed that ugly Dinosaur Planet stigma by severing all ties to Rare's final "screw you, Nintendo" game.
Star Fox is supposed to be one of those arcade style "pick up and play on through in one sitting" type games. Bring back the old SF style, Nintendo!

If it's anything like the first Starfox for the SuperN, bring it on. That was one of my all time favorite 16 bit games.
The franchise did go downhill from there, didn't it?

I thought that Starfox 64 was an excellent game tbh. And the addition of the '3D' levels (like the great Indepenance Day rip off level) was one of the greatest features of it.
I also quite enjoyed the Dinosaur Planet GCN title too, but it really did miss the old starfox arwing charm. I haven't played the latest installment though so I won't bother commenting on that.
An arwing based flying-around-shooting-everything kinda game for the DS would be pant wettingly good fun me thinks :)

For the record, I LIKED SF Adventure. No, it wasn't the same as everything else in the series, but branching out isn't a good thing. It does have three major things going for it in my book:
1. It looked gaaawgeous.
2. The music was pretty nice too. I dig the Ocean Force Point Temple theme.
3. It was pretty fun. And is that what counts?
Not to say that I dislike the rest of the series--of course not! Everyone loves a space shooter! So I'll certainly be looking out for this. Even if it isn't Star Fox-related, space dogfights = good times, whether or not you're actually fighting as a dog. Fox. Whatever.
