Front Mission port announced

The popular turn-based strategy franchise Front Mission is seeing an installment hit the DS in Front Mission The First. A port of the first game in the series, Front Mission The First is said to feature new mechs (Wanzers) that were not included in the original title, as well as Glen Duval from Front Mission 5.

Other details are unavailable at this time, as well as any screens for the upcoming game.

Every day I come to your site to check the latest news on the DS. And every day I wait to find out if Front Mission will be announced, and it finally has!

I'm extremely excited about this, because not only is it a Front Mission title, but it's a port of the original + extras! This is some major fanservice, and a smart play by Square-Enix.

Sandy,

We don't know how to say this, but us making your day makes OUR day. Hopefully you'll still find a reason to keep coming back now that your wishes have come true. :)

Thanks for reading!
Dave

Sweeeet! Now let's hope this one makes it out of Japan (since there still hasn't been a stateside release of either FM5 or FM Online...).

There just might be a chance that if THIS port succeeds beyond what's expected, that maybe Front Mission 2, Alternative, and Front Mission 3 (my favorite) will be ported.

Front Mission is one of those games that has so much potential.
