Fresh Sim City DS screens

We know we aren't alone in absolutely needing this game, so upon scouring the intertron's many databases in looking for more information on the game, we stumbled upon these screenshots. Not the type of folk to keep them to ourselves, we'd like to share with you what we found. Machine translation tells us these images have to deal with the creation of a new town in the game.

Head past the post break for more images.

1. I sincerely hope the crappily drawn characters (aside from Mr. Wright, I guess) are only present during the tutorial, and not just there to needlessly fill the second screen. If I wanted bobble-heads in my games, I'd rent a JRPG.

2. Do you enjoy taunting us, DS Fanboy??

Just when I think "Okay, I'm over my unreasonably strong need to have SimCity on my DS," you guys keep throwing up screenshots!

3. That's too funny. Looking at the Japanese characters for this game, it reads, "Shim Shitty"...the Japanese phonetics doesn't support the letter "s."

4. I'm all for this game. I've always loved SimCity, but is the DS going to hold up under the processing loads of a large city?

SimCity 2000 on the GBA not only suffered from a lousy UI, but the GBA hardware couldn't keep up with the title's demands.

The DS touchscreen eliminates UI worries, but in a large (and interesting, in the Chinese curse way) city is going to have ALOT of stuff going on!

That's my major concern.

I came up through the years leaving the original SimCity running on my 7Mhz PC-XT machine for days because of the slowness.
I did the same on SimCity for the SNES!.

If this title is gonna rock the DS , it has to do so without bogging down.
