I use it all the time. It's my primary console. That being said, I will play any game... And some games, eh, I got through to the end of one difficulty, good enough for me. Others pull me back in, over and over...
For example, for some reason, despite the supposedly inferior controls of Super Mario 64 DS, I went in and got every star, then beat Bowser. Trauma Center, I'm contented with slogging through each and every surgery until I've beaten all of them. Still haven't gotten there, being stuck on one of the Sins, but I've very little motivation to go back for higher scores. Elite Beat Agents, when I first beat the normal mode, I was sure that I had finished enough for myself. Not so much. Had to go through to about 1/3 of the way through the EBDs before I could call it quits.
It's all in the game.

I'm still duking it out with FFIII because my DS is secondary to surfing or FPS gaming if there's a PC handy AND because I'm taking the time to search around for stuff and do the side quests.
Settling down with my DS Lite and FFIII has become akin to curling up with a good book.
I need the time to do it and get into it.
I'm looking forward to more of the same with FFV Advance, which is waiting in-wrapper. :D

The DS is definitely getting more love than my PS2 and Wii. Guitar Hero and Tekken 5 are the only things keeping my PS2 alive. I already beat Zelda, and WarioWare is fun in short bursts.
I started playing DS in my bed right before I go to sleep. It provides a better nights sleep. :)

I get bored easily which is why I try to complete a game as soon as possible (2-3 weeks tolerance). I finished Final Fantasy III in a week, which was possible because everytime I watch TV I grind.
Right now the DS is my primary console but once I get Final Fantasy XII (out in Europe next week) and Okami I will probably forget about it for some time until I get those done. Have to finish FF VIa first though.

Damn, you guys really want the 411 on my gaming life today, don't you?
We want to know how often you pull it out.
Good thing this is DSFanboy, not WiiFanboy. Ahem. I use my DS an average of twice a day.
Is the DS secondary for you to another system, or does it dominate most of your free gaming time?
Right now it dominates, although I spent 5-6 hours each Sunday with online PC gaming (FEAR).
Do you prefer games you can play in short bursts, or the extended sessions of a game like Final Fantasy III?
For the DS, I prefer short bursts, like a couple quick rounds in Clubhouse Games with my fiancee (it pays to have a black and a white DS around.)
And how do you approach games?
I don't really care how I get through the game the first time through, except for one rule. I try my damnedest not to cheat, use guides, FAQS, etc. Only if I'm absolutely stuck. After that, everythings fair game, as long as my interest in the game holds out.

The DS lite is my primary console. This is mainly because I'm always on the go and don't have much time to sit in front of a TV to play games.
Right now I'm mainly playing Picross DS (Japanese Import), Tony Hawk American Sk8land and Indiana Jones Fate of Atlantis (via the SCUMMVM DS emulator)

With a new baby, I play where I can and when I can - so the DS is my main console (next to a GC). I like both short style playing, like StarFox or a round of new SMB, but a good, indepth Action Adventure like Metroid Zero Mission or Castlevania is nice. I can't wait for Phantom Hourglass!

DS is my primary platform...
I'm mostly playing FFIII and Hotel Dusk right now..
FFIII is a really great old-school rpg and SE did such a great job putting it on the DS.
It gets me excited for the possibilities in Dragon Quest 9!!!
Playing righteous 3d RPG's on the go or right before bed?
Rock.
Also just as good in the long lines at the supermarket or the post office.

The DS for me is my main gaming system.
Now it doesn't matter if the game can be played in short bursts or not, but soon when my vacation ends I'll probably prefer short ones while at college during the intervals and long ones at home (if I manage to have time).
And I always aim to perfection on games that I like, no matter how hard it is.

I am always afraid of doing it and waking up with the DS in the floor... =/

The DS is my only Console. And I don't own a television. Before I bought my DS I had all but giving up gaming.
I had replaced videogames with books in the past but with games like Pheonix Wright and Hotel 215, FFIII, I have been reading less lately.
For that reason I have really been delving into other types of games. I really enjoy platformers, Yoshi's Island is really good, NSMB was too short, Point Blank and Big Brain Academy have fill my pick up and play needs. Online I dabble in Mario Kart and Tetris. I am thinking of getting Club House Games.
But I will try any game for a while, this is made easier by way of a R4. If I really really like something I will get on Ebay or CList and buy it used.
I have influenced three or four other people to make the DS purchase. I think it represents a good option for people my age to get back to their gaming roots in a socially acceptable and casual manner. I really enjoy some post sex ds Mario Cart with my partner.

I use my DS more than anything right now and it is mostly because of how portable it is. I have a lot of breaks in between classes at college and what better to do with my time then play some DS :) I also use the Wii a lot, but lately I've been playing my DS more.
PS: I was thinking...why don't you people make a spend just as much time on it as you guys? Just a FanGirl blog instead of a FanBoy everything? What about us females who own the lovely pink DS and thought...I'm not saying it's sexist, but I was just thinking about it.

I've fallen into a habit of mainly playing my DS in bed, either before I get up or before I fall asleep. The rest of the time, I've got things to do on my PC or out and about.
Of course, sometimes this changes when I get a new game... Although half the time it just ends up being me trying to get to bed earlier, which usually fails.
