Pokemon Day celebrated at Yankee Stadium

While we find our alliances align themselves toward a different baseball team, it's always nice to see our obsessions getting along. Celebrating the release of Pokemon Diamond & Pearl at Yankee Stadium yesterday, fans under the age of 14 received a free Pokemon t-shirt. Usually, freebies at baseball games are sponsored, with that sponsor's logo all over what it is (free hats are often ruined that way), but with Nintendo sponsoring their own product here, we're sure those shirts are probably pretty sweet.

Did you get one? Take a picture and send it in to us!

I found this picture on the Yankee's website.
I'm assuming they just planted this on the front of every shirt.

Oh dude, I am so jealous. Baseball and pokemon, together! It's so annoying that special Pokemon events in the US *always* *always* take place in NYC.

I'd have been there in a second if they did this in Philly, plus my Phillies-loving girlfriend is disabled and they always give her the kids giveaways too. (It appears to be stadium policy.) I just have to keep reminding myself that it's a kids-size t-shirt and it wouldn't fit anyway...
