Contrasting the absolutely wicked, gameplay-filled trailer that we received last week for Final Fantasy Crystal Chronicles: Ring of Fates, the Final Fantasy IV DS video Square Enix posted at the title's teaser site today is pretty light on action. The CG scenes, dramatic soundtrack, and breathy voice-over serve the story-driven RPG well, but if you're looking to see some combat or world map travel, you won't find much satisfaction here. The tail end of the clip hints that we'll be seeing the game's release before year's end, so plan your budget accordingly. Hop a ride on an airship, and sail past the post break for the 3D remake's two-minute movie.

Let it be known that i'm thoughly unimpressed.
I saw Kain, and Rosa and Cecil in the background, but what was the big tower (its been awhile scince i played the game).
And from what i can remember, wern't all the crystals in nice furbished stone walled rooms, rather then caves?
Whatever, i just found it thoughly boring and would much rather have either an exiting trailer like the FF3 one, or gamplay footage like the Crystal Chonicles one.

it's just like FF3 where you see a cool CG intro and then that's it. the game looks nothing like that, so it's just totally out of place. seems like a waste of time to me, they could put that effort into the actual game.

Sam, aren't you being a bit to picky? If you can't remember the tower, one of the most important icons of the game, one of the things that propels the main story, then why does the place the crystals are stored in matter?
Its a trailer. I assume not a lick of gameplay is in that trailer, and it was probably all for hype and artistic purposes. Noob are you because you picked really ridiculous stuff to get all pumped up over.

nice
I doubt there will be voice overs for the whole game, but that would be pretty cool..
I suddenly feel the urge to get back to playing my GBA copy of the game

They were hardly things that i was getting 'pumped up' over, they were merely things i was pointing out, that i had noticed whilst watching the video. I'm not the sort of person that gets annoyed if tiny details are wrong.
What i was unimpressed with was how boring and dull this video was. Just compare it with the Final Fanasty 3 one.
And i did say that i would rather see a trailer with gameplay rather then all this GC stuff- that would get me hyped much more then this.
Oh, and calling people noobs is a rather noobish thing to do- grow up.

I'll want to play this if there are more cut scenes than just the intro. Heck, if they base this on the Advance version I'll be first in line.
Question: Is that Rosa in the 20th Anniversary logo art then?
