Chimchar all the way!!!! Seriously, a Fire monkey or a turtle with a tree on its head? It's a tough one, but I think I'll pick the monkey.

No Piplup? Oh well.

Based on my choices, I choose Chimchar because Monferno looks awesome as hell.

Chimchar.
If you don't choose him as a starter, your only option for a fire pokemon is ponyta.
That is before you have the national dex.

Piplup is by far the superior. But out of Turtwig and Chimchar, I'd have to say Turtwig because Monferno is just but ugly. They're all pretty cute and all as starters, but Piplup is the only one that still looks awesome when evolved.

As for available fire pokemon, I'm happy to settle with ponyta until I can get a Vulpix later on.

FUCK YEAH SEAKING!

That said, I chose Piplup 'cause it's a Penguin. But Fire-Ass Monkey is the best choice, considering the vast amount of water-types and the only fire-type being Ponyta/Rapidash.

Chimchar, no doubt. Now, if this were Chimchar vs. Piplup, it'd be a harder choice to make...

Besides, I'll just get a Rapidash for a fire Pokemon to use. I love horses so that works for me.
