While this brief teaser gives us no real idea of how the finished game will look, it's still nice to see something from Mushroom Men. We can't wait to undertake massive backyard fungi battles. It's like all the mushrooms Mario's eaten over the years are back, and they're pissed off.

It's a fly agaric (Amanita muscaria), a
poisonous/hallucinogenic mushroom. Seeing it
here brings a (wry) smile to my face. ;-)
It shows up in the Mother/Earthbound RPG series,
too. It's attacks make you disoriented!

Yeah, they're really popular in games, I guess due to their distinctive look... a variation showed up in Oblivion, also -- good for making restore health potions!

It's just you. It looks more like the freemasonic symbol of a pyramid with an eye in it (triangle with a circle inside here).
