As if language barriers aren't enough to dissuade would-be importers from ordering Japan-only games, the pricing on these titles often border on lunacy when compared to what new releases usually cost in the states. So while Play Asia's Jump! Ultimate Stars sale for $29.90 might not seem like much of a bargain, keep in mind that the online fighter usually sells for a staggering $48.90.It's a great game though; many have even compared it to the Super Smash Bros. series, except in 2D and with twenty hojillion playable manga characters. Since Play-Asia will be honoring the reduced price until next Monday, that gives you plenty of time to consider whether or not this discount is deep enough to warrant a purchase. We think that it is!

I don't even like anime in general, but I can admit to loving this game. The gameplay is just that good.

Would i need to do anything special to be able to play this game on my DS, or could i just buy it and it would work on a regular one? And it is basically super smash bros with anime characters? I dont know anime, but with a DS smash bros, it wouldnt matter. Also, does it support download play?

The DS isn't region locked, you can play anything from any country, no harm no foul!

I've seen this game at Best Buy for around $40, so this sale is nothing special.

wwwyzerdd - have you really? Seeing as the game has NEVER been released outside of Japan and BB would be sued for selling it, really? It's a good deal for an import game that no company here could legally sell.
Spencer - I don't know about Download or Multi-Cart, however I do know it has full, 100% wifi capability and you can either do the online with random people or with friend codes, so if a buddy of yours got it, it'd be no different than a game like MP:Hunters, just exchange friend codes and you're off to the races. Apparently it's smooth as can be. It's amazing at how it could be, seeing how much goes on in this lil system.

I have not played any of the Jump! games, but I own both imported Bleach games, and download play works perfectly (albeit very slowly) on both games. The only hurdle you'll run into is knowing which menu/button to go to, but usually they have pictures/icons.

The "thanks" was sarcasm, by the way.

this is in every best buy i've ever been to. it has a huge yellow sticker stating it has not been localized and there is minimal english. they usually have this and one other one.

fs8gbe - Really? That's VERY odd - I didn't think it was legal to sell these outside of Japan. Especially not at a store like BB. I didn't mean to seem unbelieving, but maybe I'm just jealous our Canadian BB's get shafted :(
