Why are we so excited? Well, you see, many people who live in Europe speak and read English natively, much like we do. Therefore, when Japanese video game companies release a game for European audiences, they feel compelled to include English text. Roleplaying games, like this one, have a lot of text. It really works best for us when text is in a language we read.
NCSX is taking preorders for the European release now for $49.90. We'd be breaking pots and cutting grass looking for Rupees, but we remembered that American businesses actually use the dollar, which is acquired through work. Fun fact!

Thank goodness. I was about to just import it, start guessing and break everything until I figured out how to work the thing.

Erm... the only country that speaks English natively in Europe is the U.K. The most spoken language is actually German.

"Many people read it natively" - not all.
But usually releases are multilingual, I got the British version of PoP-Two Thrones and the French/Dutch version of Killer 7 for Gamecube recently, because I missed both games before, and both featured at least German subtitles (PoP was dubbed). I usually buy my DS games via Play-Asia, because I don't care for German texts, if the cheapest and (and even more important) fastest way is not buying in Germany.
(Hell, I couldn't stand waiting for Phoenix Wright 3 until a European release, just 3 weeks (+shipping) to go ;-) )
But this time the US has to wait, at least the Tingle addicts - is there really anyone liking that guy??

People care about this game? Really? Based on the title / boxart I figured it was for toddlers.

It's totally different game, very oddball and with most insane zelda character so it should be fun. If I had money I would import it but I'm dirt poor

For one, it'll tide me over until PH. For another, it's just too flippin' weird to pass up! Totally not for "toddlers."
