When it comes to your stylus of choice, do you prefer a regular-sized model, or something with a little more length? Does it depend on the game, or is the comfort and usability the same for you with any touchscreen-enabled title? If you prefer extendable, did you purchase your solution or simply rig something up?

I got that Castlevania stylus - loved the extra length. But I get tense playing some games and have mostly broken it - the clear part is totally cracked up and on the verge of disintegration.

i have a big fat animal crossing stylus that i got on ebay. it's about the size of a sharpie, more or less. i use that if i'm using the stylus a lot. otherwise, i just use the normal DS lite stylus.

Where can you get a thumb strap stylus? It appears Nintendo didn't see fit to including one in the newer DS lites...

I've never used a long'n. I really like the DS lite stylus though. I wear them out pretty fast so I just ordered three more from Nintendo.

I use a Papermate PhD Multi pen, which has a stylus, ballpoint pen, and mechanical pencil. The handle is easy to grip, and I can play for a long time without cramping.

I liked the Castlevania stylus but, like Lenyu, mine cracked. I ended up duct taping the ever living crap out of it, and use it like that.
The regular one is too short and causes my hand to get in the way. I've also tried using longer metal styli, but my hand starts to sweat and it slips. Not the best thing to have happen during a game of Ouendan.

I prefer the one that comes with the DS Lite. I think it's just the right length.

The one that comes with the DS Phat is too small. I have to hold it in such a way that my fingers cover the screen. The one that comes with the Lite is perfect though; I'm probably not going to be gripping it any higher up anyway, so I don't really need a longer one, be it by extension or naturally longer.

well, i used a metal extendable stylus but the tip doesnt feel good to my touch screen and it made my hands sweat more.
i then bought the Hori extendable styli and they are great! the tip is made from the original ds lite tip and extends nicely!

I like the thumb strap too, NeoteriX. It's not universally useful, but when it's good, it's really good. When I upgraded to a Lite and sold my DS Phat on ebay, I specifically excluded the thumb strap so that I wouldn't have to be without! Good luck in your searching...

I used the original stylus since the DS Phat launch and on the Lite, but just recently I started using the Castlevania extendable one and I'm loving it. It's starting to crack (like everyone else's...), but I'm thinking of importing a bunch of the Hori extendable ones to stock up (exactly the same stylus, without the Castlevania logo). I like it better than the jumbo-pen style because it actually fits in the DS storage slot.

I use a gachapon New Super Mario Bros. stylus I bought off play-asia. The added length and girth (no innuendo there) makes playing stylus-drive games a lot easier.

I have the hori pen which is just a big ass stylus...I have big hands.
But for when I can't be stuffed it always helps to have an expendable stylus in the console...
