Unfortunately, because the DS lacks any kind of permanent storage, you'll only be able to download a few levels at a time, and they'll be lost when you turn the system off. We'd love to see the interface for designing levels, but none of the three new screens of the DS version highlight that feature.
N+ features a Pure mode, which is a direct port of the PC version, and a Plus mode, with new graphics and enemies. Also new to the handheld remakes: multiplayer, in both cooperative and competitive modes!

Tell that to the pokemon coders, there's 512KB of storage in the pokemon carts. I can't imagine simple levels for this kind of game are more than 10 or 20KB, so they could store a whole bunch, especially if they used some simple compression.

Well, Pokemon Diamond and Pearl needed space to accomodate actually owning the 493 pokemon, giving grounds for duplicates if you wanted to make some poke-babies
But i like me some level sharing. Link is Triangle Man "Triangle man hates particle man. They have a fight. Triangle Wins. Triangle Man."

In fact, you can save files to the DS version of N+. You are limited by the size of the cartridge, but you will be able to save some maps. The PSP version of N+ will not have any issue with data and level storage. But it seems Atari, Metanet the original creators, and the development team Silverbirch Studios have a trick or two up their sleeves for the coming DS/PSP release of N+.
Rumor has it, as you know, you will be able to extend your capabilities to save your levels through online communities. Not to mention that you have access to tons more hot N+ levels.
N in its original state broke grounds by allowing the N enthusiast to design slick, creative, and deadly N Levels of their own to share with the N community. This will also be the case for N + DS and PSP. Players can share their levels with an online community of N fans. This feature will also offset the storage capacity issues on the DS, since you can simply upload your levels so that you, or other N players around the world can access your N+ Levels. This is an extremely innovative and exciting use of Both the DS' as well as the PSP's online/Wifi capabilities, if the rumors are true.
Don’t overlook the DS’s advantages either. The touch screen on the DS defiantly will enhance N+ level creation, for example. The double screen should make for a new and interesting N experience.
Simply put, N+ DS and PS represent the next level for N fans who are on the go. And the whole nature of the game makes it easy to pick up for new players as well. It looks like Atari, Metanet, and Silverbirch studios are charting a new path of fun filled community built gaming that will connect N fans new as well as seasoned. This is going to be a title to check out for sure!
