"G.I. Joe is the codename for America's daring, highly trained, special mission force. Its purpose: To defend human freedom against COBRA, a ruthless, terrorist organization determined to rule the world."
This 1991 print advertisement for Taxan's G.I. Joe is so awesome, it didn't even need any screenshots! The 3/4-page photo of Cobra Commander more than made up for the NES game's generic boxart.
We tried dressing up as the hooded villain for Halloween once, but we ended up looking more like a rejected Pac-Man ghost than the leader of an international terror organization.

Now that terror is "real" G.I. jJoe doesn't seem as lighthearted as it did when mermaids were a gay mans lover. Hey kid, you get me right?
