DS Fanswag: Check into The Ward

We've been talking about it forever, and now you've got a chance to win it -- a copy of Dementium: The Ward, valued at $29.99, will land in the lap of one lucky reader. Want it? All you have to do is leave a comment on this post talking about the scariest moment you've ever had playing a horror game. Did someone happen to slip up behind you while you were sneaking past Bad Things? We want to hear about it. Never been scared? Flex your anti-horror muscles all you want. Just leave a comment -- and remember, you can only enter once per day -- between now and Sunday, November 4, because at 11:59 EST, we'll be closing down the contest. Monday, November 5, we'll toss everyone into the random drawing and choose one winner, who'll receive a spankin' new copy of the game.

There are, of course, a few caveats. Winners must be both U.S. citizens and over the age of 18. You can check out the full official rules here.

21. One of the first horror games I played was Resident Evil, scared the crap out of me when those dogs came through the glass windows in the beginning.

22. For some reason...the first time you see a metroid in Metroid Prime scared the crap out of me. I guess because it waits a second to break out of the container after you finish scanning it. Just enough time to think "Well, maybe it won't bust out of there." WRONG!

23. The only real horror game I've played was Resident Evil 4. That being said, I was pretty disturbed by the chainsaw death.

28. Wow, I can't believe it's not been listed already...

Clock Tower for PS1 was the scariest game ever. I was like 12 or 13 and I spent the night at my friend's house. His dad had just gotten a playstation and Clock Tower and we stayed up until about 3 am. The first time I saw that scissor man start opening closet doors to find (and stab) me, I called my mom to come bring me home. Needless to say, she wasn't exactly happy to pick me up, in a terrified state no less, at 3 am.

30. Playing Resident Evil 4 on the Wii...when the enemies got closer I pushed back into the couch and then started swinging my arms like a monkey thinking I could just attack with waggle. I had nightmares that night that I actually got my head cut off, it was scary ;-;

38. This happened to a friend, because i am the one that did it. Back in junior year of college our neighbor in the downstairs apartment was playing Doom 3 and telling us how scary it was. He lived alone and me and my room mate decided it was time to have some fun.

It was around midnight and i was talking to the neighbor on aim, and he said he was going to get his laundry out of the dryer down the hall. We had about 3 minutes, and we knew we had to move fast.

Earlier that day he was saying how Doom 3 was so scary and we would never be man enough to play it. We had the spare key to his apartment since he locked himself out so much, and my room mate ran down and snuck in while he was in the laundry room. The neighbor got back, and said goodnight on aim. Well my room mate waited about an hour, and started with the zombie noises and some scratching. He sent me a text message saying to get ready, and i positioned myself outside his apartment in my demon mask from last halloween. My room mate bursted from the closet, and our neighbor shrieked like a little girl and bolted for the hallway, to be greeted by me, he knocked me over and ran off to our apartment upstairs. I dont think me or the room mate stopped laughing for days. The best part? He ran out of his apartment and waited outside ours in his underwear

39. There is this cutscene in Fatal Frame II where a girl's arm gets grabbed when opening a box. Doesn't really sound scary, but holy macandcheese, did it scare the Kraft out of me.
