I would have bought Nanostray 1 if I hadn't been warned about its problematic controls and ultra-short length. In my opinion that's the absolute worst thing about many modern games--pretty enough, but they don't last long at all. If they make the campaign longer in Nanostray 2 and fix the control issues, I'll pick it up. Looks fun!

Well dude it's a shooter. It should only seriously take you 30mins to 90mins to beat. And the only shooter I can think of that is 90mins is Panzer Dragoon Orta which is way different from classic shmups.
But main game length issues aside, the extra challenges and mini games that look very cool and in the same style as the Iridion 2's training stage was, should be enough for you. Plus there's the co-op in both competitive and cooperative styles.
That's what I love about Shin'en. Their first effort is always just 'decent'. But the second time around they come out guns a'blazin'!
