The combination of half-time shows, videogame medleys and marching nerds is nothing new, but this could be the best example we've seen yet. The footage above was shot at the UC Berkeley versus Washington State game earlier this month, and sees a rigorously drilled band belting out a string of songs from a glut of Nintendo favorites, including Zelda, Mario, and Pokemon. We only hope some of the crowd can appreciate the brilliance that's unfolding before them.

That was really awesome! Some of their horns got a little out of line musically, but the choreography totally makes up for it.

That was all kinds of awesome!! I got serious chills w/Tetris, the Triforce and Master sword, and the Mario Castle w/the flag. Good drill and good music, both executed very well.

as a former band dork, i can say they had some tone issues in the beginning but they certainly picked it up near the end. i think the horns were a little too loud all together though.
