For those of us in the U.S., today is Thanksgiving, also known as the day when we're supposed to take a moment to be grateful for all the lovely things in our lives, but really, we gorge ourselves on the best food of the year and then fall asleep in a puppyish heap on the sofa with our closest family members. Hey, it's a day about the good things in life, and it doesn't get much better than that.On a serious note, we hope everyone out there has had a wonderful year, and especially, we hope you have a wonderful day. May each one be ever brighter! Happy holidays from everyone here at DS Fanboy.

Can't say I've ever really bothered to even find out what thanksgiving is actually all about. Though I'm Australian, so my apathy towards american holidays is understandable.
On a completely different note, you guys should really give some time to Lego Star Wars: The Complete Saga. I got it today after seeing a couple of rave reviews (IGN, pocketgamer) and so far (only a couple of hours in) it seems really impressive. I've barely heard a whisper of it, though. But both the graphics (well, the animated cutscenes are a bit ordinary but the actual levels are really nice 3D) and gameplay (nice big levels, lots of characters with different abilities, heaps to do and lots of things to interact with, fun combat) are great. Plus it looks to be a huge game, with a lot of levels which seem to have a lot of replayability (e.g. some areas can only be unlocked by characters i don't have yet, plus i've missed some of the collectables needed to unlock stuff, etc), and then there are unlockable minigames and characters and other stuff. I've only played the one minigame so far, but it was as luke using the touch screen to deflect laser bullets with a lightsaber.. good fun.
And I'm not even much of a star wars fan. In fact, my main complaint so far is that the game doesn't really do anything to fill me in on the story.. it treats it as assumed knowledge I guess. Oh and the ugly cutscenes, but I'm guessing they just ran out of room on the cart to fit in anything more elaborate. Which is understandable given the size of the game, AND the fact it actually has an orchestral soundtrack (pretty sure it's stuff from the movies). The sound is fantastic like that.
