Did you know the
Crimson & Black DS Lite is the "senior version?" Yeah, it's news to us (especially those of us who
own it), but according to Gary Krakow, anything with a leatherette case and math is clearly
not for kids. Usually, we limit the Friday video spotlight to something we can embed here for your viewing pleasure, but this time, we're making an exception -- and when you watch Mr. Krakow hesitate over 0 +1, you'll know the reason why. Head on over and take a peek.

I glanced over the picture, and thought, "Hmm, I wonder why that was used?" Then I read the first paragraph, and actually looked at the picture, thought about some old guy freaking out over the equation 0 + 1, and laughed for a solid few minutes.
Now the first senior citizen I see will be pelted with kindergarten-level math problems. Thanks for the inspiration, DS Fanboy! ;D

They're deliberately playing badly so that it's not intimidating, even to the lowest common demoninator. The same tactic is used in most ads for self help type products.

Maybe he really WAS that bad at math. Certainly he's not great at personal grooming. Quick, what's zero facial hair plus one neckbeard equal?

Anyone notice that the handwriting recognition failed at one point there? The problem was "9x4" and he wrote "36", but it interpreted it as "34". Unfortunate.

I hate when it does that.
I've got the crimson with Brain Age 2. Now that makes me old? :(

I'm sorry but anyone who can't figure out 0+1 should not be video blogging. Hell, they should not be on the interwebs. He needs to go back to Preschool.
For god sakes, I could add 1+0 at 3 years old -_- Go figure, I learned math the same way I learned reading: Final Fantasy.

Whoa...just saw this post over a month later. I bought my second DS, cuz I wanted a Lite finally (and to get the hubby hooked too without taking my red Mario Kart old DS) and bought the crimson and black, excuse me, onyx Lite in December. I had NO idea it was the "senior" version though. Guess it's fits cuz I'm 50 and hubby is 52. And here I bought my Dad a white one last April for his 89th birthday (simply because it was the ONLY color I could find then). Maybe I should trade with him for his white one? Naww...I LOVE red anything and that crimson and onyx Lite is beauuuuutiful!
