FFIV looking as sumptuous as ever in new trailer

We already knew that Square Enix's remake of Final Fantasy IV was going to require a whopping 1 gigabit cartridge, and this latest trailer from the company's official site neatly sums up why. Look at it for heaven's sake! FMV, full 3D models, voice acting, and all playing out to Megumi Ida's entrancing vocals. As long as our favourite line is preserved in the localized English version, Square Enix may as well take our wallets from us now.

[Thanks, creamsugar!]

I'm actually playing through FFIII (going to beat it this time, curse that final dungeon), a second time as anticipation for this release. Considering the game's age, FFIII was indeed a pretty well made game, and I'm looking forward to FFIV, which looks like it will be better in every way imagineable.

As for people saying FFVII can't be improved in the portable edition, I only played the game for about an hour (I had no memory card for my PS2, and the person loaning it to me wasn't around for a long time), but man, the 3D models sucked hard. If nothing else, they could improve that. Despite capacity limitations for the DS cards, the DS itself is a more powerful system than the PS1.
