Fan-made videos of this quality are few and far between, but the Super Mario Galaxy DS trailer we've embedded past the post break (for spoiler-related reasons, so be warned) is one of the most professionally produced we've seen to date. Judging by the user comments submitted in response to this over at GameTrailers, many viewers have been duped into believing this is a real game.
Alas, it isn't, but it sure does get the old pulse racing.

hahahaha, I wouldn't mind buying that if it were real. At least it's more accessible to those of us without that much money... as in, the poorer of the poor, lol.
T_T I need a better job.

Wish you would have put at least some kind of spoiler warning on this.

A big 'no thanks' to any more 3d mario titles on the DS. SM64DS was fun, but the controls just weren't cut out for that sort of thing. Side somersault was next to impossible with the dpad, and the stylus control, well, I won't go there. New super mario world, please! I miss riding Yoshi around (and dumping him in a pit to save myself, sorry Yosh').

SM64DS touch screen controls were awesome, nearly as good as analogue stick controls. I played and finished that game with it with ease. If you can't play with it, it's your fault. Not the game's.
Also only a fool would be fooled by that video.

I partially agree with you both.
I played mostly with the Touch Control, and for the most part I had no issues with it. However, side-somersaults were nigh-impossible with this (had to do with going straight up then straight down on the Touch Screen being quite hard).
However, I found side-somersaults quite easy with the +Control Pad.
I wouldn't mind another fully 3D Mario on the DS, as long as they improve the controls a bit from SM64DS.

Many say, that at the end, the 1 Star = 10 Wii Points says that the video is fake. Well, I use to say, that if something isn't all right, let's see things THE OTHER WAY. That means, one must buy every level of the Mario Galaxy Ds for 10 Wii points and one can DL it via Download play. That would make sense. So buying the whole game (121 Stars) would cost you 1210 Wii points. But once you turn off the DS, it's lost. Another way to use it is to simply buy it. For the graphics, I figured out, why is it so crappy. Not because the CPU limits of the DS. Another hardware limit - the ROM size. Today, the greatest ROM is 128 Mbytes large (FFIII, Crash of the Titans, for example). Since the game must be smaller than 128 Mbytes, the graphics must have been downgraded this much.
