An anonymous Nintendo representative apparently said that the real functionality will reside in the Wii being able to download DS titles to be played on Wii. "Users can download games to play on Wii," the nameless NIntendo rep said. This rep also supposedly went on to say "and, in the future, the Nintendo DS will be able to receive demo versions of some DS games from Wii, but not the entire game. The demo will be erased once the Nintendo DS is turned off."
We're wondering at the possible alterations our DS games would need to go through in order to be played on Wii. How about you?

Uhh, I think he was talking about Wiiware, full Wii games being downloaded to the Wii, not DS games...

The Nintendo rep didn't say anything about DS titles being played on the Wii --- he just says users can download "games" to play on the Wii. I'm pretty sure he's talking about WiiWare here, that's kind of a huge leap to assume he's talking about DS titles..

This sucks,. they need to let us get the demos str8 to DS via WifFi net access,. like My PSP,. i can go str8 to the net,. and I dont have to waste money extra for a Browser,. come on Nintendo,.

Yeah, I read that four times. I don't even understand what Nintendo is trying to correct.
We've been able to download games all along... and playing DS games on Wii would be weird, I think.
and I'm not even high....

You can download games to your DS straight off of the Internet right now using a flash card and DSOrganizer.... just not commercial ones. Homebrew authors beat Nintendo once again.

There is some serious confusion here. I think he is hinting about full Wii games for download (nothing new, just WiiWare) and DS demo downloads via Wii (nothing new once again, Everybody's Nintendo Channel).
