Accessories often range from useful to "why, oh why," and we think this crank is the most pointless of them all. We're so dumbfounded that we had no other choice but to show you, dear reader, and have you scratch your head along with us.
Maybe if you got somebody to crank this for you while you played to keep the battery alive, and you also didn't mind the screeching noise that came with it, it'd be useful ... right?

Used to that exact thing, except it was for my moblie phone. And was actually practical because it didn't require the same amount of power as the DS. I'd reccommend it for a phone, not for a DS.

The only reason I could see that being useful is if it recharged your battery while you were away from an outlet. Then again, I think I'd rather just get a replacement battery instead of a crank...

P.S. You do know it's a charger? you crank, then you can play. It boasts 3 min. cranking= 20 min. power.
Great for the apocalypse, when we're using bottlecaps for money, fighting for gas, and living in powerless caves.
Also, I propose this(or a rugged solar charger)+a DS Lite= One DS Per Child.
P.S.S. The world is going green, and after the Wii having a finger pointed at it for being very un-green. We could show them, and help the world by charging our DS's with this:D

Oh, and cranking too fast is bad. It'll overheat the thing and ruin it+ it won't charge any faster.
A boxed up DS winding charger from a Hong Kong importer recommended 2.5 rotations per second.
