More interestingly, the ads diverge in their tactics. The Japanese ad scares you into learning English with the prospect of a giant, inedible hamburger resulting from your misunderstanding. In the Korean ad, fear of the ordering process is motivation enough. Those polite smiles barely contain those two customers' terror. And now we've officially analyzed the commercial too much.

That's a pretty intense commercial. Considering Japan's culture and how much their care about outward appearance to others this is a pretty effective ad campaign to sell this game there. Man I'm glad I grew up in the US.

How well is the DS doing in Korea right now? It's historically been very hard for game consoles and some Japanese electronics to get much of a foothold in Korea but the PSP has been doing okay there recently.
