We go crazy whenever we see a game marked down significantly from its original price --- seriously, absolutely nuts. We're just in love with the idea of buying things for cheaper than however much everyone else paid for them. We're pretty sure it's a recognized mental disorder listed in the DSM-IV.We post bargains for accessories and video games here nearly every day, but have you ever actually taken advantage of any of them? And what games are you still waiting for to drop in price before finally picking them up? Tell us now, or this wacky waving inflatable arm-flailing tube man is going to haunt your dreams.

DS games are already in an impulse purchase price range for me; I rarely wait for them to go on sale, even though I should. I guess it's just bad memories of watching niche handheld titles vanish in the blink of an eye back in the Game Boy days.
However, I did use information on Wii Fanboy to pick up Super Mario Galaxy for $37. I'd say it's a valuable service you guys provide.

I am addicted to cheapassgamer.com so I find out about tons of deals there. I buy far more DS games than I should, so I do try to save whenever possible. I found out about a few Amazon DotD thanks to you guys. I visit this site 4 or 5 times daily and posted deals just make the visits sweeter.

I love games on the cheap. Opens up a whole new class of games to try. Some just aren't worth the (relatively low) retail prices. I picked up PacPix from TRU for $5. Not the best game, but I can promise you I got $5 worth of fun out of it.

I know I've picked up a few games that have been posted up here at times -- I think most of them have involved Play-Asia. I certainly appreciate hearing about the good deals :)

I bought a couple that you guys recommended. I remember Scourge the Hive was one (I think that's what it's called anyway). I think you guys suggested Megaman ZX too. Anyway, keep suggesting! I'll keep buying!

Why is nintendogs still $30, wasn't that a launch title or close to it?

I missed out on the Cooking Mama deal for $30, but I would prefer if Trauma Center: New Blood dropped to that price, and Ghost Squad for $20. =p

Germany sucks when it comes to gaming, and whenever I visit this beautifull lil' homepage I feel like I'm living on the very wrong place on earth...
We don't even get to see most of the great games out there, and neither do we get good games for a good price.
When they're all shiny and new released we have to pay 40,- Euros (which is almost 60,- US-$!!), and when they're crappy enough that nobody is interested in buying it anyways they sometimes decide to lower the price to 20,- Euros, which still isn't a good bargain for a crap-game.
And I'm ever so desperately waiting for Wario Ware Twisted, and they're neeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeever going to release it here, so I'll have to import it, and what's enerving me the most is that Amazon.com is selling it for only 20,- US-$. For that matter, I wish I'd live there. *gnwäääääää*
I'm buying my games used on Ebay, but I think it's very nice of you to share good bargains and add information about which of them are worth their price. :-)

Interesting comments. Since buying a second DS, mainly so the hubby can play too, I've been looking at German DS games on Amazon.de. The hubby is German, came over here when he was in his 30s (we're oldsters :) and between him maybe enjoying a game in Deutsch and mostly me wanting to increase my Deutsch via playing a GOOD game I thought we might pick up a few directly from Germany. I see that the pricing is a lot higher than here, plus of course we have to add on international shipping, but during the one time I glanced through what Amazon.de had to offer there were PAGES AND PAGES of games! I was not able to spend a lot of time looking at the actual titles though but I did notice a HUGE amount of games like Dogz and Catz and so on and on and on. Now that the holidays are over I hope to settle in and do some real looking. I hope that I can find at least one or two titles that will interest us because Dogz and Catz and such are not really on our list of titles we want :-/ Do you recommend any OTHER place to buy German DS titles? Or do you play titles in English?

I purchased Ouendan 2 at Playasia, but it still hasn't arrived. :(
It's my 1st purchase from Playasia (since Sega released Bleach: The Blade of Fate, so I didn't have to import Bleach - Souten Ni Kakeru No Unmei).
This is also the 1st time that I've made a purchase based on the 411 here. I usually check Amazon's Deal of the Day, or wait for the Toys R Us Buy 2 get 1 Free sale. All my games are new purchased from reputable retailers (no ebay), so I don't own any counterfeit games. But not buying used games also means that I don't have Kirby Canvas Curse or Pokemon Ruby. :(
I'm only waiting on Cooking Mama 2 - Dinner with Friends (car died & I had to get it repaired when Circuit City had the $23 sale) and Phoenix Wright - Trials and Tribulations (I read that Apollo Justice is coming in February 2008, so I decided to wait for the price of Trials and Tribulations to drop prior to the release of Ace Attorney 4).
Peace.

Lol, I just received my Ouendan 2 today. My happy little package from China was sitting on my desk with the rest of my mail :) It was my first import, glad DS Fanboy wrote about it.

I still say one of the best buys I got was Front Mission DS for 20 bucks at EB. My friend described it best when I brought it "the DS is cheep gaming crack", hell, even 29.99 is still a steal now a days, too bad Square's more resent releases have been more expensive... i'm afraid to ask about Dragon Quest 9's cost.

Ooooomg, if you're looking for a good game for your husband I highly recommend Hotel Dusk: Room 215.
It's a great game and I really love it.
Despite it's English title at Amazon.de it's available in German for 30,95 Euros, which is about 45,55 US-$.
I played it in English because I just couldn't wait any longer, btw.
It's an interactive mystery novel. Just like a real book it has lots of text to read.
As you play along you have to solve several puzzels and you learn a lot about all the people you're talking to. Your goal is to find out what happened to your old partner at the NYPD, and the result of your research is depending on how good you are at asking the right questions at the right time.
If you want to find out more about the game you can read the article about it on wikipedia (I wouldn't read the story-part, though, because it's a spoiler.); or you can have a look at the official homepage, which shows you the special look and how the game is played (without spoiling it):
http://www.hoteldusk.com/
I think this could just be the right choice. I hope you haven't bought it yet. :-)
Some say there's a con, though. Once you've played it you know the story so it isn't that much challenging anymore, but I enjoyed playing it a few times just like I read good books more than just one time.
There's another interesting game by Cing, it's called Another Code and the gameplay is pretty much the same. It's as nice as Hotel Dusk, but the story is shorter and so the game doesn't last that long.
Cing is great, I hope they'll make a new game soon.
Or maybe you want to buy a Phoenix Wright game in German, those are very good and involve a lot of reading, too.
