Atari knows how much we love N+, so they sent us some brand-new gameplay footage. We have played the game (though in a much earlier stage) and we still found ourselves arrested by the unexpected beauty of the footage. YouTube isn't the best medium to get the crispness of the video across, but the 60-frames-per-second animation is still there, as is the quick, precise movement of the ninja character. The music is also catchy and retro-techno-awesome.
In addition to the new video, we've updated the gallery with 15 screenshots, each showing off a different level. The levels are crazily varied, showing the strength of the editor (and of Metanet's imaginations).

All of those levels look pretty easy compared to the PC version.

Damnit, it's stuff like this that shakes my faith in the pirate side. But then I see Naruto somewhere and remember why I hate ninja. AHOY!!
Probably still going to get this game though.

Having played the PC version to death I've not paid much attention to N+, but that's a great use of the dual screens. Anyone know if there's any stylus control going on?

I'm still slightly worried that the old LCD-blur might completely bugger up this game, but I'm sure they'll have considered that.
..
And, I still probably wouldn't buy it.
Nothing worse than a rip-off Flash->Console game.

DSFanboy, I trust your judgement, so tell me this;
should I buy this game?
(I tried the PC version but I suck with keyboard controls!)

This gameplay reeks. Nothing to do with the engine, but whoever was doing the playing for this video seemed to be deliberately ignoring coins. Low-score ahoy!

I've never played N, but I've heard it's a frustrating, hardcore game. I normally wouldn't touch it, but this video makes it seem not so bad.

As far as the PC version goes, there's a gradual difficulty curve. The first dozen or so levels are easy, and the difficulty increases as the game goes on. With 100 episodes (each with 5 levels) the difficulty isn't consistent from level to level, but the later levels have brain-explosion-inducing challenges.
So, yes, the majority of levels are hardcore, but there are easy levels spread through out.

So that video doesn't prove that the DS is capable of the postmortem giblet physics.
