Colors is amazing. I love it!
I also spend a lot of time with Lemmings DS and Tet Attack. Powder is fun, if confusing.
Oh I almost forgot about Pocket Physics! It was updated just the other day. It's addictive...
Also I'd like to say that the Datel Games n' Music is the card I have, and all of these programs work just fine on it. (Some needed DLDI patching). Mine was 20 bucks, and came with a 128MB Micro SD and an adapter for my computer. I personally think it is a better deal than the R4, which I have seen for about 50 dollars online, add shipping and a microSD to that, plus possibly more shipping and you're looking at almost 70$. ._. All I really wanted was Colors, and that was too much money for one app. >_

DS Organize, Colors, and Pocket Physics are great apps. I'm not into anything on the game side; the DS already has so many great retail games that keep me busy.

Agreed with DSOrganize (hooray for to-do lists), Colors!, and Pocket Physics. SCUMMVMDS is also pretty awesome, though scrolling around the screen to click on things gets a bit tiresome; I'd prefer to just play it on a computer. Is it too vain to mention the DS Pokedex I'm working on here? ^^;

I was addicted to Warcraft: Tower Defense for weeks at a time. It's unbelievably fun. And thanks to this article I just checked it out again and it was updated yesterday! http://ndswtd.wordpress.com/

I really used Moonshell a lot and was getting into DSVideo, but then I bought an Archos jukebox last week and that takes care of mp3 and video playback as well as PDF reading.
But the Archos doesn't have anything like DSOrganize or Pocket Physics, and I doubt it ever will.

Pocket Physics has gotten more of my time lately than any thing else on my DS, homebrew or commercial. I also love Lemmings, and put a little time in on Puzzmaniak (spelling?) when I can. I've just downloaded Arcomage for the DS, but haven't played it since replacing my worthless DS-Xtreme with a far more reliable R4.

I'm joking, I'm joking.
Flickbook is fun to fool around with. I want to watch videos, but I'm having a bugger of a time converting my avis to dpgs; there always seems to be a lag on the audio.

I'm a fan of NitroTracker. I'm waiting for DSOrganize to get cleaned up, but it's got a few features that I use occasionally (light-weight web browser, irc client, to-do list, etc.)

I like to use ComicBookDS most of the time. It's much better than sitting at a computer to read comics.

DSOrganize and Moonshell are big ones, Moonshell came preinstalled on my M3 for goodness sakes (you kids and your slot-1 devices, don't get me started). As far as games go I would have to agree that Pocket Physics is a blast and that ScummVM is also very good. DSDoom is fun if you can get it to work just right. There is a port of Open Transport Tycoon Deluxe to the DS that just got started, this is one to keep your eyes on.
As for the game I am most enjoying at the moment, I would have to say DrugWars DS from Dragonminded (of DSOrganize fame), it's a classic game with slick new graphics and it's a fun time waster, the fact that it's something that Nintendo would never dream of approving is also amusing.

POWDER. If you play DS homebrew, then you should probably be playing POWDER. Honestly, it's all that's keeping me going until Shiren the Wanderer comes out. Well, it and Geometry Wars. And Barnyard Blast. Crap.
Colors is one of the best pieces of DS homebrew I've ever seen. I'm also waiting for an update of DSliver, and really, a port of Apprentice to DS. I for one would welcome our new Magical overlords.

Nitrotracker - It's just so plain fun and creative to make music with it :> Too bad it's still got some wav loading issues... But v0.4 is on it's way!!!11oneoneeleven
ComicBookDS - Pure win. I won't read comics from the computer screen ever again.
Powder - Ironically, I've played this more than many of the commercial games I've got. It's an awesome roguelike, and for DS too. Pretty Magnificent.
Phidias - I like this more than colors! *runs from slaps*
