No, not the princess's actual weapons, but the weapons from the Zelda games. For us, the most badass thing that ever was made has to be the Titan's Mitt. That thing could help Link pick up the most heaviest of heavy items. We'll also entertain notions that the Hook Shot, Pegasus Shoes and Magic Cape are up high on the list.
But, what about the items that aren't specific to any entry in the series, like the boomerang? Well, Lore from Wired attempts to rank these items, providing grade marks to all of Link's most-used weapons and otherwise general helper-outers. Is the man insane? Well, we'll leave that judgment up to you and get back to what we enjoy most: daydreaming that we have a Titan's Mitt of our own.
You, on the other hand, can rank your top 5 favorite Zelda items in the comments. No daydreaming for you all, there's work to be done!

I'm also a huge fan of that webcomic. Its nice to see other people plugging it. It seriously deserves more page views.
As for the topic at hand my favorite weapon of the Zelda series was the boomerang from Phantom Hourglass. Being able to draw crazy paths and having the boomerang follow them to the end was HILARIOUS.

That's a pretty funny comic.
Somairia's cane reminds me of Kamey Koopa's power from Paper Mario (N64) where all she does is drop blocks on you.

Certainly, Zelda's best weapon was the Wand of Gamelon. I mean, it could kill Ganon in one hit!

I don't know about the rest of you, but I for one would love to see a shark astronaut (as illustrated above) in the next edition of The Legend of Zelda.

ELIXER SOUP! That soup is so underrated!! D: Link's grandma worked so hard on it, too!
Seriously, though, 3 fairies and Elixer Soup in Wind Waker = Practically invincible.
Also, the Light Arrows in Wind Waker. Did you EVER kill something with those? They just...disappeared. I felt evil with them. >:D

None of the Zelda weapons have ever done much more than "cool, now I can go to ____" for me. Except the hookshot, that thing is awesome.

The hookshot's always been my favorite Zelda item/weapon. Especially in TP. Double clawshots! Holy crap.

I've always been a fan of the shovel but the most badass item would have to be the Fierce Deity's Mask.

Maybe i'm old fashioned but I love the Boomerang. It's just such a nice balance to the sword. Everything else is just fluf. Honestly. I could do with out every other item. Oh, and fairies in bottles. Is that a weapon?

Oh snap, I forgot to mention the Spinner. How cool is that boss fight where you had to ride the Spinner in TP? Very cool. Very, very cool.
Also, the grappling hook in Wind Waker is fun because it lets you steal crap from enemies.

Pfft. Child's play. The single best item of Zelda ever has got to be Rok's Feather/Cape. Jump button in Link's Awakening absolutely ruled. I still can't beat the final dungeon of LoZ1 simply because of no jumps. Jumping made everything awesome since you're so often limited to ground combat.

I was gonna say the Roc Feather as well. It's not so much that it was fantastic or anything, just surprising. I played Zelda 1 and 3 first, then Link's Awakening. It was shocking to realize that all of a sudden I could jump! It really opened up new things to do in the game, or at least it felt that way at the time.
Other than that, yeah, I agree with the dude above about the flail (really surprised me too), and the bomb arrows (ditto). I guess I like the new stuff better?
