Featuring isolated lunar bases and mysterious alien hatches, publisher Mastiff describes the experience as "dark, twisted, heart-pounding, frequently violent and always disturbing." We like! Incidentally, Moon will be built on the same engine that powered Dementium. That's good news, because for all of its flaws, Dementium was one heck of a technical achievement.
Update: The first Moon trailer just touched down in our inboxes. We've embedded it for your viewing pleasure above.

Majoras Mask reference? I'm too nerdy for other pop-culture references.

Yeah, even if the news was unrelated, I thought there would at least be a passing mention of the game with a headline like that, though I wasn't expecting a port or anything.

That's no moon....It's a space station. Also, I like how the astronaut brings his banjo case to protect the banjo from the high G's associated with a rocket launch.

I know I'm alone in this, but when I saw the headline I was thinking of some kind of cerebral space exploration sim. I've been waiting for my own "program a Mars rover" game since 2004 now. No, not drive, not blow stuff up with, but program.
I'm so nerdy it hurts.

Don't get me wrong, technically speaking, I loved dementium. But I'm almost certain they're going to make the same mistakes they did before. For instance, the hospital. Every corridor and every room look almost exactly the same. How much environmental variety can we expect to see in this?

I'll still give it a bash. Dementium wasn't ground breaking or anything, but I really enjoyed it.
Besides, since they're reusing the engine they could (hopefully) spend some more development time on artwork, level design etc.

Dementium is to Silent Hill what Moon will be to Doom.
