Assuming you use a DS homebrew device (much like the ELSPA was erroneously reported to have assumed), you probably have a few non-game applications on there. Everyone has DS Organize, of course, and probably Moonshell as well. But there's a ton of stuff out there to extend the functionality of your DS, even beyond those two catchalls! What applications do you have sitting on your card? Do you read comics? Watch movies? Play music? Or maybe just sketch and doodle? Uh, Shooting Watch DS is sort of application-like, if you, uh, need to measure how quickly you can push a button.

Sooo... would Chat Noir qualify as a planning utility for assisting in keeping your cat from running away? Because I definitely like that one. Seriously though, I'd be lost without Moonshell and DS Organize.

ScummVM DS is pretty awesome to play classic adventure games. DSOrganize has some nice features but looks like ass... ComicBook DS is great if you like reading comics of any kind... And I guess special mention goes to Hizashi no Naka no REAL, a small h-game tech demo on the DS because it uses the touch screen in..er.. interesting... ways. Yea. lulz.

I'm all about ComicbookDS here. I see a lot of comics and such published over the internet, but I don't like being tied to my computer to read them. Portable is definitely the way to go.

I bought the R4 specifically for Colors. I like Amplituds as well, but it suffers from a music shortage.

NitroTracker, DSVideo (like the controls better than Moonshell), and since it doesn't technically have gameplay yet, Pocket Physics.
I've thought of just leaving Colors up in sleep mode all the time to use as a combination notebook/sketchpad, but I haven't gotten round to installing it yet.

*gasp* I just found my new favorite app, methinks! Thank you JC for using this particular picture!
I'm lilapsophobic (paralyzing fear of tornadoes and hurricanes) and I spend more time cramming my throat down Weather.com than you can shake a stick at. I will literally get up off the couch in the middle of a movie just to go hit refresh on Weather.com during a bad storm.
Having weather on my DS = amazing.

Looks like that particular one doesn't cater to the US, however I found one that does: http://www.dev-scene.com/NDS/DSLiveWeather
So, if anyone else is a Weather freak, there ya' go :)

I have a Palm pda so Ds Organize is not really for me... and anyway when i tried it it corrupted my card..
I use Colors, DS2Key and DSPad for some wireless DS PC Controller Action, DS2Win to control windows from my DS, DSAIM (great AIM Messenger), Pocket Physics (so much fun, amazing homebrew), SVSIP (when it works..), Treasuers of Gaia worked great for Google maps when i tried it. And other Midi/Wifi programs.
