DS Fanswag: The Ring of Fates awaits

There's nothing we love more than giving you free stuff, particularly when it's something we've enjoyed ourselves. This time, we invite one lucky reader to join twins Yuri and Chelinka (and friends) on their epic quest. All you have to do to win our copy of Final Fantasy Crystal Chronicles: Ring of Fates ($39.99) is answer a simple question: what's your favorite DS game from Square Enix (so far)? Legal residents of the United States and Canada (excluding Quebec) may enter once per day between now and Wednesday, April 9; the contest will end that night at 11:59 PM Eastern time. Please note that, as with most of our contests, you must be 18 or older to enter. Questions? Check the official rules. We'll select one winner in a random drawing on April 10. If you want it to be you, get commenting!

Dragon Quest Heroes: Rocket Slime hands-down! That is such a fun, fun game. Hopefully the sequel (and there better be one) has online play.

I actually really enjoyed Heroes of Mana for what it was. It certainly wasn't a great RTS, but for a handheld it was pretty good. Though I haven't played Revenant Wings to compare yet. Heroes is also the only game in the whole "World of Mana" project that hasn't been a big disappointment.

Space Invaders Extreme.

(What do you mean it doesn't count because it's not out yet/Taito developed it?)

That would definitely have to be Final Fantasy IV, with FFTA2 coming in at second. In my opinion, FFIV is the best game in the series. It had a great story, especially with all of the twists, and great characters. And Square Enix is adding onto the already existing story with the upcoming remake for the DS!

Then there is Kain. The best character in the series and where part of my username comes from. Dragoons forever!

Don't have any Square Enix DS games. Haven't gotten a game in a while. Bought some moderately expensive consumer electronic recently. GTA IV's coming up. Gonna have to buy a $55 DualShock 3 when it comes out. Need a new batch of CD's. Yes, I haven't gotten a new video game in a while.

My personal favorite would have to be Final Fantasy XII. It wasn't an amazing game, but it was fun and the presentation was excellent. But we'll see what the future holds.

Right now at the moment my favorite DS offering from them is Final Fantasy III. It was nice that finally gave us all the main Final Fantasy games out of Japan but the way they remade it was very nice and not expecting. I was expecting a remake along the lines of the PSX/GBA/PSP remakes of the first two games. Just new sprites based on the old ones with maybe a new dungeon and remixed music. But we got a full overhaul which was great.
