The remakes of Ys I & II should have been sold in one package to start with, as 5,040 yen ($49) each is rather a lot to pay for yet more Ys remakes -- especially since they were released on the same day and therefore fully intended by Interchannel to be sold together. All but about 1,000 Japanese DS owners agreed, as the games sold 2,000 copies combined in their first week.7dream.com, an online retailer run by 7-Eleven and NEC (who used to own Interchannel, the company publishing these games) is now offering a "Special Box" of Ys I & II DS containing both games, a soundtrack CD, and, yes, a special box. While it's awesome to have both games in one deluxe package, the 9,800 yen ($95) price probably won't boost sales that much.

Ys I and II were some fun games back in the day, but since these games are nearly 20 years old, this price is insane.
A price of $50-$60 (too lazy to convert to yen) would be good for this.
Oh well, don't know if we are seeing these stateside or not. Most likely not.

I was semi-excited to hear they were bringing Y's classics out, but when I saw they released 1 & 2 seperately, and for 50$ each...it turned me off.
I don't see myself buying that pack either. Hopefully as more time passes for these (already very old) games, the price will go down. But I won't be holding my breath to play something I played many moons ago.
