We'll be honest -- as charming as it was, we found ourselves struggling to understand how the Zelda universe was an appropriate choice of subject for a themed, crochet teapot mat. Eventually, we concluded that, hey, Link does occasionally drink potions in his games, right? And you can also drink ... what? Yes! Tea! Ahem.
Anyway, this Triforce-branded cutting board from Etsy user 1337motif ... we're stumped. Totally at a loss. There's just no reasonable connection between Zelda games and cutting boards. Then again, we're yet to find a more awesome way to chop vegetables, so we'll roll with it. Cough up $125 (yes) and it's yours.

My wife is a big Zelda fan, and she says this is awesome.
She also tells me that $125 is apparently a very reasonable price for a nice cutting board.

Connection between Zelda and cutting boards? I'm sure Link uses something similar when chopping Octorok meat for the King's dinner. Mah boiiiiii.
Or something. I kind of want it.

I'm so hungry I can eat an Octorok!
Link Mai Boiiii. This is peace all true warriors strive for. I wonder what's for dinner.
I can't wait to bomb some dodongos.

Stylish, but nowadays I need something more than just having a triforce slapped on something for me to consider it Zelda-themed...especially at that price.

Yeah, but wait. Not Octorok meat. Remember way back to A Link to the
Past where the easiest way to find hearts and rupees was to CUT down BUSHES AND GRASS AREAS with the sword? Well now in the next generation, Link can see the vegetables growing right next to the bushes and grass, because the games are so "high detail" and are in "cutting edge realistic graphics," right?
Haha. So now he decides he's hungry and cuts down some of them. And so he could do it with ease, the black smith created for him a dark cutting board with a bright golden tri-force symbol engraved into it. So there you have it, the reason for a "zelda-themed" cutting board with three gold triangles seemingly placed to form what other than a larger triangle. Ahem.

That's actually one of the least tacky looking Zelda-themed knick-knacks I've seen. I kind of want it. And I kind of am thinking about it! :)

Zelda gave Peach this cutting board as a present after Subspace Emissary because Peach gave Zelda(Sheik) tea.
