No. We're serious. Because, really, would you want to make Mama mad? Former GameSpot scribe Alex Navarros apparently couldn't care less, because he slapped a six out of ten on Cooking Mama 2: Dinner with Friends back in February, and got a vitriolic letter from publisher Majesco for his troubles.
It's a delightfully sarcastic retort, with the author of the letter noting that "With the first Cooking Mama reaching 1 million units in Europe and near of 1 million stateside, I began to worry that this might begin to go to our heads. Majesco's parking lot would be flooded with Bentley's, Maybach's and rare hybrid cars that run on pure ego." Hit the break for the petulant tirade in full.

in return fire the reviewer has an obligation to review how he feels and not give everything a 9/10 just because.......if they want higher reviews just make better games.........and im not saying its a bad game and doesnt deserve credit or that the people didnt work hard on it but it is simple.......only good games should get good reviews

Good games sell, nothing the idiots at Gamespot say will ultimately hurt the sales of Cooking Mama 2 (which I bought already).
I guess Majesco didn't buy enough ad space on Gamespot/CNET, so they got a poor review. You have to bribe Gamespot. Ask Jeff Gerstmann. Gamespot staff have been leaving like rats on a sinking ship, since he got fired.
I removed my bookmark for Gamespot a long time ago. Anything worthwhile posted at Gamespot will be reported here at DS Fanboy anyway.

I never knew Majesco employed emo programmers. Seriously. A company that makes a game called "Cooking Mama," who would have thought they would get a salty vag about a bad review.

There's is no demand that the score be removed nor is there any suggestion that Majesco would seek any sort of retaliatory measures. I think whoever wrote and authorized this has a great sense of humor. :)

I'm with you, I thought the letter was hysterical.
Honestly, when I read the review on GameSpot, I just shook my head and rolled my eyes at most of it, especially after playing Cooking Mama 2.
The review was more "Emo" than that letter ever even thought to be.
The sad thing is, more and more, GameSpot's reviews mean less and less to me. Half the time, they give the games I love bad reviews, and the games I hate good ones. It's getting to the point that I just go there for screenshots.
