At least one guy involved with
Izuna 2: The Unemployed Ninja Returns has a steady job: the guy responsible for uploading screenshots. Just one day after the initial announcement and the first delightful bundle of screens,
Atlus has already sent us more screens of the ninja roguelike sequel! This time, it's
all awesome 2D gameplay.
What is
up with the DS and roguelikes? We've got
Izuna, three
Pokémon roguelikes (and the GBA one that also works on the DS),
Shiren, Tao's Adventure, and now a second
Izuna game. The DS completely wins at having games at which you're likely to lose repeatedly.

Completely awesome! I loved Izuna, the sequel is going to be amazing. I would've imported eventually, anyway.

I'm really looking forward to it, too. I feel like the first was so underappreciated (except around here!) that I'm still surprised it's being localized.

All righty - I'm totally feeling like I want a Roguelike, but I'm not _fully_ convinced. Can anyone recommend a PC Roguelike that has sprites instead of punctuation?

Hey... Is that water? I was already completely sold on this game, but knowing the dungeons will have a less bland look and more of an environment makes me all the more happier...

I've never played Izuna, but I love Shiren. That said, I've heard Shiren is by far the most "hardcore" of the DS roguelikes.

And of course, no gallery of Izuna pics would've been complete without Izuna's cleavage. I mean COME ON! Do they think that people will buy this game simply based on that? Do they?
@jgoreham: Although the first Izuna was fun , I prefer shiren over it. But who knows? Maybe this second game will beat Shiren. And if you count the Mystery Dungeon games as rougelikes, then Explorers of Darkness/ Time look like awesome games too.
