Something caused a Phoenix Wright sales revival, and we suspect it was the Gyakuten Meets Orchestra concert (which was also a Gyakuten Kenji hype event). Both the first and second Gyakuten Saiban games for the DS ended up in the top thirty this week.Newcomer We're Fossil Diggers (a second-party effort by RED Entertainment that actually sounds really fun, at least to the dinosaur lovers in us) deserves all the glory, though. Debuting at third place, this unique piece of software did rather well for itself in its first week.
Besides the same old games that have been showing up in the charts for the past few weeks, the other notable is Square-Enix's dull-sounding bookkeeping game. It seems like a rather niche title to end up in the top thirty, but who knows -- maybe a lot of Japanese folks are getting ready to take the Level 3 Bookkeeping exam. Or, maybe they just can't resist a game by the beloved Squeenix.

That picture at the top of the post is too awesome.
I gotta know. Does anyone know where to get a complete/full-sized version of it?

Also, Gyakuten und Gyakuten 2 was on sale for, like 12 euros that week. This may have contributed considerably to the sales figures.

That picture is disturbing. They brought Manfred von Karma back from the dead just to play violin?

Way to try and assuage your insecurities about your chosen handheld gaming console by touting momentary success over a competitor that came about due to the rampant success of one game released in a distant nation that comes from a genre you would almost certainly describe as "gay".

You of all people should be disinterested who's "owning" who, then. Don't make comments bringing up this stupid rivalry, and nobody will assume you're a fanbot, it's pretty simple.

Actually I am most interested in these numbers. Before the slim PSP launched, Nintendo was flat out dominating the handheld market and there was a severe lack of competition. Only through Sony leading in sales will Nintendo be forced to innovate instead of sitting back and watching the sales rake in month after month.

Please refrain from being such an ignorant jackass.
all Brian did was shrewdly observe that the PSP was once again dominating or owning the hardware sales chart. As a Nintendo fan, I see nothing wrong in what he said. Please keep your jackassery to yourself and next time you point something out, proof it before making a deuche out of yourself.
