We wouldn't jump up and down in a fit over the greatness of a game without setting aside a few copies for you guys! And since we just loved
The World Ends With You, we're going to give three readers the chance for a crack at Square Enix's brilliant new outing. All you have to do is leave a comment right here on this post telling us what you think the very best DS game you've played is. If you were reviewing, what would be closest to the magical ten? We want to know, and that comment may just snag you a copy of
The World Ends With You ($39.99).
The contest will run through Monday, May 12; that night, at 11:59 p.m. Eastern, entries will close, and we'll choose three winners in a random drawing. To enter, you must be
18 or older, and a current legal resident of the United States or Canada (excluding Quebec). Have questions? Check the official rules.

Puzzlequest because its fun, different and simple. Who knew by simply giving Bejeweled RPG elemtns could make such an addictive game.

The Best DS game I have played would have to be Final Fantasy 3, but I like the pokemon games a lot as well.

Phoenix Wright Ace Attorney: Trials and Tribulations. (Or any of the Ace Attorney games, really)
Funny, clever, great story, and you don't need crazy ADD fostering twitch reflexes to play them. :D

I would have to say that Trauma Center: Under the Knife is the best DS game that I have played. This game is perfect for the DS, and although the difficulty was somewhat harsh I found it incredibly enjoyable. This is one of the games that cemented my love for the DS.

The best DS game I've ever played has to be Mario Kart DS. This game is just perfect. It expands upon everything that Mario Kart was and paves the way for new installments. It added great weapons and more karts then I thought should exist. It had a great online component. All the tracks were brilliant. Even the AI isn't cheep in this game. That's what's amazing. Shame on you Mario Kart Wii. You should have looked to your little cousin for greatness.

Best DS game? The World Ends With You, hands down.
Aside from that, definitely Castlevania: Portrait of Ruin, then Meteos, Elite Beat Agents, Phoenix Wright: Ace Attorney, Puzzle Quest, and FFIII.
And that's REALLY narrowing it down =)

I have a lot of favorites for DS but I would say Mario Kart DS comes out on top for me. Even for a handheld game it improved the racing mechanics over its GCN predecessor, has great local multiplayer options, adds new modes, memorable/quality new tracks, online mode (if you can hang with the competition), etc. Overall it just exceeded expectations, and still plays great.

Space Invaders Extreme.
No contest. I imported it and loved it. Everyone should buy it when it comes out here in June. Too bad they aren't bringing the supported Arkanoid paddle to this side of the pond, but that's what importing is for,r ight?

The import hit Jump Ultimate Stars is the end-all be-all of DS games. Although it will NEVER be ported to American audiences (T_T) the sheer awesomeness of hundreds of Jump characters in a massive Smash Bros style free-for-all with online play as well make it #1 no matter if I can read what's going on or not.

Elite Beat Agents. There is nothing on my DS I've spent more time playing that EBA. I still get the game out and play it on occasion. It's the only DS game I still play.

While not the most original title to have graced the platform, mario kart ds brought that classic console experience and translated it to the best handheld kart racer to date. Not only did the local multiplayer work well, the online battles were flawless. In addition to playing with friends, gamers can challenge themselves in the grand prix mode, or even race time trials and compete with their friend's ghosts. The wide selection of carts and tracks only furthered my love for this game. Mario Kart ds took many of us by surprise, and continues to be my most treasured ds game.
