Hooray for the DS, because this atmospheric winner is getting a second chance to grab the attention of portable players. We've picked up the first several screenshots, and it appears the updated inventory system will now be fixed at the top, handy for simultaneously controlling Kate Walker via the touch screen. More details as we get them, but ink up that pen for adding this bad boy to your shopping list ultra-soon.

I picked up this game on the Xbox on a whim (it was cheap and looked like an interesting Adventure title). I was immediately sucked into the world. Absolutely stunning, brilliant title.
Of course, I immediately purchased Syberia II when it was released.

I actually found the games a little on the slow side. Nothing is more irritating than being stuck in an area and finding yourself running back and forth trying to figure out what to do next, except all you can do is walk slowly. Plus a lot of the areas were pretty vast. It just got on my nerves. Otherwise the games were great.

For me, Syberia was almost the answer to my prayers. Having grown up in adventure games, it was amazing to find a new one, a great looking one. Overall, it's a pretty good duo of games - I'd suggest them to adventure gamers.
Unfortunately, for me, the suspense that Syberia(I or II) created never blossomed completely. The story seemed so amazing and it DID go places amazing, I just feel somehow unfulfilled in the end.
I would go back and do it all over again, though, so that's saying something.
I miss good adventure games. Sigh.

It's actually a really cool game on the PC. I imagine that it would transition really well to the DS and I hope they don't have to make cuts to get it to fit properly. The whole world is so well designed and intricate in the game that it's well worth it. I was sad to see it end just because it was such a good story and the puzzles were engaging (if contrived at times with a snippy engineer :) )

Hmm, I love me some adventure games. The Longest Journey being the best of the last few years worth, but Syberia was pretty disappointing. I only played through the first part (meaning the whole of the first game), which felt entirely incomplete. Beautiful visuals, but very little depth to the game before it went "to be continued." The gameplay didn't quite match the story and visuals it wanted to present.
I'm glad other folks liked it, and I want to encourage more adventure games to be made. I hope I like them better than Syberia though.
