For those of you who wondered after the last Final Fantasy IV trailer if the North American version of the DS remake would have English voices, here's your answer. Well, above here. Up there, in the video part. Turn your speakers on. The latest trailer, focusing on the story of (non-Batman) dark knight Cecil, features fully-voiced cutscenes, in English.
Square Enix may like to charge more for their DS games, but at least they are willing to sink some money into the the development of the things. The high-quality presentation of this game almost justifies the Square Enix Tax.

I'm super psyched about this as it's my favorite RPG of all time. The simple fact that you had a set party, set skills, learned new talents by leveling (not saving for crappy books), had a really semi-unique moving story, lots of emotion, and just so much more wrapped into it the game always stood out. Being that it was never and overkill RPG (over 40hours) it was a great game to dig into and not get bored along the way to nice pacing.
Having FFCCRoF and knowing the % of text vs talk it should be that any of those semi to totally pivotal bits of the game will be verbalized and in a few spots, have some FMV to back it up too as the trailer shows. Square really has outdone themselves on this task after learning so much from their FF3 engine they improved for RoF and now into this.
I do have to say I'm with the 'square tax' group as they've been abusing my pocketbook since 1991 with FF2 on SNES (FF4 this game.) They wanted $60USD for it when everything else was $50, and a few years later they wanted $70 for Final Fantasy 3 (6 correct numbering) and then $80 for Chrono Trigger. Thankfully they only hosed me on FF2 as FF3 I got at PlayCo for 1/3 off when the store was going under, and CT I got a good deal later for $50 at Target. The efforts they put into their RPGs were no greater than Enix and a few other gems, yet all those were $50 at launch. Square was and still is notable for hosing their Final Fantasy fanbase with nasty taxation on Nintendo systems ONLY. I don't recall them doing it with new series stuff that didn't have a following (Secret Of mana/evermore, nor with later PSX titles too or PS2...even the Final Fantasy's.) I never understood the BS, and the reason I had FF3 when it was new was because it was gifted I think for Christmas so it was someone elses $40 otherwise I would have gone coupon/ad hunting or waited.
On this one sadly I'll probably pony up the $40 but it does make me mad.
