One thing that we find slightly worrisome: is that a time limit in this Famitsu scan screen? You know how we feel about time limits. We can't be sure, since the timer might just be recording how long you're taking on a map, but the whole thing makes us a little uneasy. Are the rest of you Fire Emblem fanatics troubled as well, or would you appreciate the extra difficultly that a count-down might add to the game?

Maybe it is just the time of day? Yeah I will hold onto that.

Is it just me, or does the UI look identical to that of their newest Advance wars game?

Both games are made by the same team.

Better not be. I like spending time planning my moves, and if I'm timed on that then it rushes me too much. However, it could be for Wi-fi. It would make sense if they used a timer there.

Fire Emblem always count how long you take to complete a map and record your best times. Although none have ever displayed it on the screen. This might just be that, with them maybe just putting a little more emphasis on it, so that there seems to be more replayability. If the timer was so that you lose when it runs out, that would really suck. I like to take time to think about my moves. They already have levels that are limited to a certain amount of turns. That is a much better system for a similar effect.

From comments on GameFAQs, the timer is only for the multiplayer mode.

I'm a little more worried about the ass-tastic pre-rendered cg graphics. UGLY! The Fire Emblems were always fun and frustratingly difficult, but the awesome sprite animations are pretty much one of the only things that kept me playing them. Now that the game looks like something from the Donkey Kong Country era (only worse) I'm not at all interested anymore.

Nonexistent yet, unfortunately. Usually Fire Emblem games come to the U.S. about 6-9 months after they release in Japan. So, not until Q1 next year would be my guess.
