What do you need to do to win? Just tell us about some of the most difficult games you've played on the DS here in the comments on this post. You may enter once per day. One grand prize winner will walk away with a copy of Etrian Odyssey II: Heroes of Lagaard ($29.99), as well as the Monaco case ($24.95), and a second winner will pick up the game as well. The contest will run through Monday, June 30; that night, at 11:59 p.m. Eastern, entries will close, and we'll choose two winners in a random drawing. To enter, you must be 18 or older, and a current legal resident of the United States or Canada (excluding Quebec). Have questions? Check the official rules.

Castlevania: Dawn of Sorrow is definitely one of the hardest DS games I've played. Like most castlevania games you find yourself getting stuck and lost constantly. Then once you have finally found your way out you have to fight ridiculously hard bosses which you should have trained hours before to defeat. Very annoying and hard, but oddly enjoyable!

Hardest game? Perhaps 'The World Ends With You' if you're trying to properly control both characters yourself :p

Trauma Center. Ick. WATCH THE PATIENT'S VITALS, DOCTOR!!! AHH, BUT I NEED TO FINISH SUTURING UP THIS WOUND...you lose. Hate that game. Do what I did, folks: try it before you buy it. Same with Trauma Center 2, I'm sure.
Contra 4 is much less frustrating, since the difficulty is adjustable. Eventually, I finished the easy mode, which gave me hope that SOME DAY I could beat medium (maybe not hard). Don't get me wrong, Contra 4 is BRUTAL, but if you try hard enough, you can get some value out of the game.

Izuna: Legend of the unemployed ninja. That game was so hard. It's a roguelike, and if you die it saves automatically and you lose all your items and money. You need to be really careful in that game and actually think about what you're going to do and how you're going to do it. I must've died hundreds of times.

Puzzle Quest. Not because it's hard, but because the only other game I have played is Brain Age 2.

FFIII DS. Having to play for that long at the end without a save point, only to get destroyed by the final boss? Made me trade it in.

Final Fantasy III gave me some trouble, and I did take a pretty long time adjusting to the battle system in The World Ends With You, which in and of itself made the game a bit more challenging for me at first.

At this point, I think would have to say Professor Layton. A lot of those puzzles are nowhere *near* as hard as you end up making them. Top that off with the inevitable *facepalm* moment once you get the answer and you are your own worst enemy with that one :)
