According to Gamefly's list of upcoming games, Ubisoft is following up their excellent
My French Coach and
My Spanish Coach with something that is going to excite a lot of you:
My Japanese Coach, with a tentative September 18 release date. Hopefully it's a language trainer and not a game about, say, a tennis coach who happens to be from Japan. It's being joined by
My Chinese Coach, with a release date of August 28.
In addition, Gamefly lists two unannounced titles from Natsume. Cave's
Princess Debut is apparently being released on September 26, and on August 28, Natsume will release
Hi! Hamtaro Ham-Ham Challenge, recently announced for Europe by 505 Games. These releases are unconfirmed, of course, but likely.

Could be useful, i could write it off as an educational expense and pay for it out of that fund, instead of my ever-shrinking spending money pocket, since i'm learning Japanese in college this fall anyway

Can anyone explain why UbiSoft of all is the first company to come up with Japanese teaching software? I mean, the market for this must be huge, and it targets the prime audience as well. Have other DS developers been sleeping, or am I missing something?

sounds great, I love My French Coach and will probably pick the whole series. But man, I really need My German Coach, but that doesn't seem to be on the horizon...

Depending on how good your German is currently, you could opt for "Mein Wortschatz-coach". However, the first part is only spelling tests-- no definitions, articles, etc. so far.
Maybe it becomes more useful.

I hope the guys at Gamestop believe me when I tell them my pre-order of Princess Debut is for my 17 month old daughter. I don't think they believed me when I told them that I was buying Imagine Figure Skater solely for the Curling minigame.
