Maybe it was a matter of time, but that isn't important -- what is important is that you guys called it. Chrono Trigger is headed to the DS (and we wouldn't be surprised to see something Snatcher-related for the DS eventually), and that makes last year's celebration of the age of remakes a success.Which, of course, means we need to do the whole thing again, and that means we have to turn to you, gentle readers. We need all-new games to explore for their remakeability, so open up. Let us know what you might like to see, with the exceptions of Snatcher, Super Smash Bros., Abe's Oddysee, and of course, Chrono Trigger. We'll make a new poll from your suggestions, so get to suggesting. Remakes, ports, and re-imaginings of titles are all fair game. Tell us what you'd play!

Diablo.
Just replace "clicks" with "pokes." Though I wonder how many DS screens that would break. ^_^

Mother [all of 'em], Tales of Phantasia, Star Ocean, Bahamut Lagoon, Seiken Densetsu 3 and above all, not a remake but the new entry on the Golden Sun series [the final chapter of the trilogy I assume...]

Add in a new Faxanadu.
Why isn't the DS getting Bionic Commando Rearmed?

Final Fantasy V and VI are coming. I doubt that square will suddenly decide to stop re-making games for easy money.
And damn it, Final Fantasy VI on the GBA is pretty much impossible to get a hold of these days. I saw it once in an EB for 20$, and didn't buy it. Why?!?!?

My vote goes to Live A Live by Squaresoft.
I'd love to see this on the DS, it was a SNES game only ever released in Japan (although fan translations exist on emulators) and is a unique experience featuring seven stories each with a different lead character and set in different time periods (feudal Japan, the Wild West, present day, sci-fi future etc). I really think it is a genuine lost classic.

I know I'll probably be the only one to say it, but I would love to see Zombies Ate My Neighbors! ported to a newer system. DS or not, I think it was a great game, and could be even better on something newer than the SNES.

I'd love to see Secret of Mana come to the system, as well as the Japanese-only sequel, Seiken Densetsu 3. The DS is a golden opportunity to finally bring that amazing game to the U.S. market.
The other game I'd really love to see remade for the DS is Kirby's Dream Course. Best golf game ever, and I imagine touch-screen controls would only make it better!

The ENIX trilogy (Terranigma, Illusion of Gaia and Soul Blazer... the two last could use better translation, btw) and EarthBound.
AH! Also, I'm gonna be alone at this, but... E.V.O.
A new entry for Super Mario RPG. Yes, that's impossible, but who knows...
And, last, Camelot games: Mario Tennis, Golf and Golden Sun.

#1: Seiken Densetsu 2 (Secret of Mana in the US) + Seiken Densetsu 3 (Secret of Mana 2, never released in the US) on one cartridge and with local wireless and Wi-Fi co-op features. Pay Neill Corlett to license his translation of SD3 ( http://www.neillcorlett.com/sd3/ ) and skip the time and money otherwise spent on a US localization for SD3.
#2: Mother 1 + Mother 2 (Earthbound in the US) + Mother 3 on one cartridge.
#3: Localize Xenosaga I & II DS already!

All the Mother games. PLEASE.
Kid Icarus. NiGHTS.
I'll be killed for saying this, but Billy Hatcher. I dunno, it seems like that game, as much of a failure as it was, could work out nicely witih better writing and a touch oriented system like the Wii or DS.
And yeah...

I was thinking of RPGs in my last comment, but they all must take a backseat to my personal top priority for DS remakes:
Super Puzzle Fighter II Turbo
BUT don't bother re-making it unless you feature great local wireless multiplayer AND balanced Wi-Fi multiplayer.
My wife and I regularly play the Treasure Box mode of Puyo Puyo 15th Anniversary. We would play Puzzle Fighter at least every other day if Capcom ported it to the DS.
Plus it would give us one less reason to buy a Xbox 360 or Playstation 3 (since only those consoles feature a current Puzzle Fighter port with online competitive play features).
