Dragon Ball DS has two GONKing combat modes: hand-to-hand, in which Goku can carry out five-hit combos and activate the Kamehameha wave by rubbing the screen with the stylus; and staff, in which Goku can manage multiple enemies with his magical extending staff. Both combat modes are controlled with the stylus.

heh heh, "magical extending staff"
That's better than what Pioneer called it: "Power Pole"

Although my desire for a DBZ fighting game on the DS still goes unfulfilled, I would buy this just for the ability to beat the living hell out of a Triceratops.

There is Supersonic Warriors 2 on the DS, which is quite fun if not a little repetitive.

Thanks for the tip; I was only aware of Harukanaru Densetsu, which I passed over for being card-based. What I'd like to see in a DS DBZ game is more along the lines of the Budokai or Budokai Tenkaichi series for the PS2, but if I can ever find this for cheap anywhere I'll give it a shot. Shame it appears to be almost retail for a used copy 3 years after its release.

This is (or at least looks like) a DB game, not DBZ. If it were DBZ, those GONK would be replaced by AAAHHs that extand past the screen borders. Both of them. At once. Speaking of all this, is that more 3D-on-both-screens actn?
