E3 is simultaneously the most chaotic and thrilling date in the gaming calendar, a relentless whirl of news, soundbites, speculation, and even megatons. But how do you, as a reader, absorb it all? Are you the sort of individual who pores over live feeds of conferences and refreshes the DS Fanboy page every ten minutes as the outside world ceases to exist? Or are you a more chilled consumer, the kind who likes to kick back and simply check up at the end of each day? Exactly how much do these gigantic, massively hyped industry events drag you in?

Very little. I'm only checking occasionally for release dates and/or a new Legend of Zelda.

this E3 sucks , nothing new announced ...no point refreshing every ten seconds ... and nintendo's presser did not do enough to showcase whats to come in the following year...

It was more fun when E3 was a giant spectacle. As it stands, I'm not really following too closely. All of the games I am most excited about have already been announced and are coming in due time. And Chrono Trigger already leaked before E3. I kind of wish that had been saved up for E3 as a big ass bombshell, but as it stands, E3 was kind of dull.
The Final Fantasy XIII announcement was good to hear, and might inspire me to buy a 360, but....meh. I think everyone knew Square was going to do it eventually, they already put so much stuff out on the DS that it made no sense for them to still claim to be making games just for Sony these days. So....yeah. I'm not really big on the new E3. Nothin' doing. Which is weird, because it seems like the PS3 and the Wii are still really new. What's happening?

Chrono Trigger wasn't leaked, it was announced.

And Sony never claimed to be making games exclusively for Sony, for that matter.

Well, by "leaked", I meant "not officially announced". We first got word through some Japanese scans, then Square-Enix came out and issued an announcement about it. I suppose that is not technically a "leak", but it's not "official" really. I suspect they were waiting for E3 to announce it, but the secret got out!
Also, I meant to say that fanboys could not claim exclusivity. Leaving words out changes the meaning of your meaning.

E3 was pretty terrible this year. There were a few neat things, but all of the Big Three's press conferences were crap.
Rhythm Tengoku, though. Whooo!

This was the first time I knew about E3. Thanks to your hype, I was looking forward to hearing lots of exciting news. I even checked the live blog on Joystiq and here for the Nintendo keynote.
And it was all rather disappointing. No great new games, no redesign of the DS. So for future game expos I'll stick with my regular reading of DSF.
