Well, nearly all worthy games come from Japan, so predicting N-America or Europe means predicting Japan.
Can we get excited for the DS redesign/successor again? Or do you think Nintendo wouldn't announce that at the TGS?
From Squeenix I'm hoping for a remake of Seiken Densetsu 3 or Secret Of Mana (=SD2).
Maybe a new Etrian Odyssey? That'd rock ^_^

At their party. Seems 358/2 will be closest to release, but that's me not having brushed up too much.
Anyway, at least Japan takes their gaming seriously (whether or not "their" means "games they make", "games they play", or just "games", that's kinda in the air), so we could expect to see some more inpressive outings... from our compy monitors... *sigh*

I was pretty disappointed when I went to TGS back in '05, despite it being the year the new consoles were being shown off. Now Nintendo's fortune has changed and we should get a lot more stuff that interests me; I want to go this year, but probably can't get off work for it.
With Megaman 9 and Pokemon Platinum both shipping in September, it'll be interesting to see if they get mentioned at the show; there's honestly so much coming out right now, I don't even know what to look forward to in Q4. I'd definitely expect to see something about Dragon Quest 9, and I like to imagine Nintendo was sitting on their big announcements for a more gamer-centric show than E3. Pikmin 3 footage in my dreams.

TGS is where the Wii remote was first shown, so a DS redesign isn't out of the question.
I don't think it'll happen, but if they were making one, it could appear.
