How much do you like Pokemans? Technically, this video is a new trailer for Pokémon Platinum, and thus should have wide appeal, since almost everyone loves Pokémon. But we're warning you that you should probably be quite motivated to see the new Battle Frontier and (we believe) the new Wi-Fi-enabled underground before attempting the challenge of watching this video.
It was captured by someone standing in a crowd with a camera watching the trailer, and thus is pretty much as shaky, blurry, and muffled as it could be while still being basically recognizable. But it's a Pokémon Platinum video -- let us show you it! Or "gotta watch 'em all." You're free to use the catchphrase of your choice.

Hopefully someone will get a better trailer - and soon!
Sorry Pokemon haters, I'm really looking forward to more trailers, pictures, and the NA release.

Meh, at least I can hijack my sister's DS for an hour or so and trade all my pokemon from Pearl to Platinum...If you've got the cash/resources, it's not so bad.
If you can't tell, I want to want to buy this, but at this point, I don't want to buy it. >_>

It's not like we didn't see this coming. It doesn't take a mathematical genious to figure out GameFreak will rehash the same ol' game a year or two later, with new features; followed by a remake of an even older pokemon generation (gold/silver).
Thing is, we just can't wait two years for the even better version of the game, so we buy the two just as good games instead.

I have Diamond, Pearl, Ruby, Leaf Green, and Sapphire is coming in the mail. I'll likely buy Platinum as near as it becomes available so I'm looking for some of the other games to complete my Pokemon collection.

I hope that the inventive new Escher-painting-esque level becomes a mainstay in future iterations of the series, as I was rather disappointed with Diamond/Pearl and am going to wait the few years it's going to take to regenerate feelings of nostalgia before buying another Pokemon game.

I wonder if this will be the last fucking installment...I mean, they are running out of precious metals.

There are still a lot of metals left...but if they run out of metals, they can just use gasses, like, Pokemon Methane, or Pokemon Carbon Dioxide...
And then a year later, an even better version called
Pokemon Hydrogen!
